This website showcases photographs taken while walking in the city – mostly Salt Lake City at this point, but a few others may appear in the mix.
I prefer to live downtown – close to the action – where I can step out my door and walk in the city. Living this way affords me the opportunity to see the city from a different perspective.
I hope you enjoy this collection of photographs of the city as I see it.
About my camera…
I purchased my Pentax K20D in August, 2009 with the included kit lens (Pentax DA II 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6). While not my first SLR, this is my first DSLR camera.
The camera is very capable and well reviewed. It’s images are quite large at 14.6 megapixel. But the most impressive thing about this camera is the build quality including its 72 weather-proofing seals which protect the body from dust and rain.

I spent about 30 hours reviewing it and numerous others before making the decision to purchase. I’ve since ordered the Metz 48 AF-1 strobe. Next, I will add two DA* (Star) lenses – the 16-15mm f/2.8
and the 50-135mm f/2.8.
